Maryse AchongFriendships are like the ocean’s ebb and flow But some stay in our heart e’en when they’re done; They will not be forgotten, that we know: Others leave cicatrices as they run Rough shod over our hearts; those we forgo. ----- Laura Megan II Laura Megan is twenty one today, It’s hard to believe how the years have flown; Just a short while ago I watched her play With dolls, and suddenly she is all grown Up; a budding attorney on the way. ----- Severe Weather They issued a Severe Weather warning, “No need to be alarmed, just take good care.” They said. “It should hit us before morning. High winds, rough seas, flooding, no need to fear.” The population went into high gear. ----- Time Heals Time can heal every wound if we would let It, soothe each care that causes us to frown, Ease every pain although we don’t forget It; help us to rise up when we are down; But humans that we are, we always fret. back to list |
Lorraine DafneyWillow green you behold beauty Each branch of yours climbs towards the sky Your girth provides a canopy For lovers to kiss and to sigh Beneath its leaves like filigree ----- Outside Her Window Back in Brooklyn upon a window ledge She grew a plant with a purple flower Its thick green leaves had a very rough edge I used to watch it grow, rise like a tower This image, I can still see, through times wedge. back to list |
Helen Howell‘Tis love that swallows gravel from the grave when time twists truth into a blatant lie and, oh, the grind of grit taxes the brave left sunken in the sands of mortal life and viewed as if an ineffective slave. ‘Tis love that rises to complete the whole when beckoned so from pain and deep regret and though forgives holds dirt within the soul until empowered to at last forget internship in a manmade airless hole. back to list |
Ryter RoethicleSpeak, your heart will guide your tongue what to say. Then you’ll find your words will with love ignite Come dawn in sweet repose side by side you will lay Your words of love be no longer fearful of the light And smile together still as united you greet the day. From that time your eyes will speak your words And needing confirmation with a kiss or two Will be all that’s needed and is most preferred A wealth of kissing is indeed a most heady brew Then it will be diagnosed that love has occurred. ----- In my dreams In my dreams each night, I dream of you Of perfect love and forever golden days You stay with me the whole night through So familiar are you and your loving ways So perfect are you and the thing you do. In my dreams I see us walking on a beach The starry night replaced by days blue sky And you and I are heavens perfect match. Then to see that starry twinkle in your eye It tells me you will ever be in my reach. ----- It started with a kiss It started with a kiss, two pairs of lips Eyes shining, looking into each other Two sets of hands reaching out fingertips Knowing now there can’t be another All other loves you now eclipse Together through eternity your soul trips Reborn, certain as in loves cup you drink A never ending series of relationships In the dusk of time you lie back and think It started with a kiss, two pairs of lips. ----- Jessica Marie My grand daughter Jessica Marie Born tonight around eleven pm Weighing in at eight pounds three. Already I’ve been told she is a gem So I’ll drive to Bacchus Marsh and see. ----- Magic No more the time of magic, it’s now that of man Merlin and his kin have left the stage and sleep Slumbering in their caves awaiting until when Once more they must emerge from sleep so deep Working spells, until once again magic governs And once again in battle we will see the way Strength of arm with sword, or axe and shield, The mighty kings must field and fight the fey With blow for blow, or spell for spell, or yield And in the end, weaker magic will lose the day. ----- Regalo di amore, (Gift of love) Given to the light, is a gift of love I search the heavens to thank the stars But all I see are reflections from above That tells me that this gift alone is ours What is love but wealth undreamed of. I see a flight of angels delivering this gift One who has oft-times drawn his bow And rarely has his arrow flown adrift. His victims all possess that special glow Gained sometimes sneaky, oft-times swift. ----- Surfing Time On the seas of time we will always be, Board bound to the tides of thought Awaiting the wave for you, and for me This board, experience’s dearly bought Those waves of time surfing for eternity. ----- Time On and on it goes, on through endless time Never ever letting go of the person we love. Two souls are searching for the path sublime Connected yet apart, and always cognisant of That to others they will always be, a paradigm. They do not challenge love, they merely live it Awake to each others ways and sharing joys Welcoming changes never fearing to commit Knowing that secrets in love, always destroys Smiling as at the end of time Heaven admits. ----- Time Circles Time grows in rippled rings, spreading out, Circling round the things that you first did Sharing something you cannot be without Words and music your mind can never rid It is now part of your soul, there is no doubt. The food, the places you dined are all there That first night, and the splash you created Are those ripples of love formed with care And all that is your love can never be dated These memories are there for you to share. back to list |
Leny RooversAs minds reach out to form a bridge of dreams, her piers will each behold a virtue shared; truth is the mortar, strengthening new seams, while hope upholds the arches heaven bared- fierce honesty protects all well-placed beams. The road on our bridge is paved with stones, each gem reflects a treasure love unfolds. When coloured sparks bear fire to our bones, soft flames of love will burn in shades of gold; first virtues' fire cleanses- then it hones. ----- Bridge of Time Across the valleys of each life we share, we build a bridge of Time from hand-formed stones; each step will bring us closer, draw souls bare. Between the girders lies our blood and bone- cemented in its road, our dreams and cares. The passages of Time we walk in trust; as slowly we slip off our heavy load, we feel how muscles ease and spines adjust. Upright we move to reach our crossing roads- we’re humbled by Time's bridge's upward thrust. ----- Correction A-B-A-B-A, the master just told, is what a Sicilian Quintain's made of; A-B-A-B-B, I used to unfold it's sweet English sister, written with love. I thus stand corrected, lo and behold! ----- Eudora's Demise I'm trapped in spider's sticky worldwide web, it clings inside my mind and strangles thought; each added thread puts off the lull of ebb- resistance's futile, struggling comes to nought. POP3, SMTP has left me fraught! It seemed so easy, to set up my mail; the implantation of a new hard disc had finally removed dark mourning veils, my Dell companion overcame Death's risk, regained his energy, his pace was brisk. Incoming mail flew smoothly as it should, new settings for a new provider worked- yet outbound messages were not so good, stuck in virtual limbo, they just lurked. The helpdesk wanted money, before perks. I'd always used Eudora mail online; safe and trustworthy it had caused no pain, protected me from viruses malign. Demon's death put me in Tiscali's bane- Eudora died by Outlook's hands, was slain… I'm mourning her demise, I'd grown attached over the years, to have her at my call; she never was unwilling to dispatch my mails, she sent, received each one and all. Developments in modern mail- her fall. ----- Lord of the Castle As raindrops patter on the windowpanes, within, my heart bleeds silently in tune- the king, who captured it for his domain, has left to go out raiding, back in June. My dreams have shown fighting and in pain. When will my lord come back from his campaign? My aching heart still hopes it will be soon, will he return when enemies are slain, or has his blood been spilled, his armour strewn? My dreams have shown him captive, held in chains. My castle shows the banners of his reign to ward off strangers, aiming for his boon. Without my lord I will not entertain, I'm dreaming of the rise of a new moon- when he'll ride home, ahead of his platoon. ----- Nigh's Void As cotton's touch lays cool against my cheek, I feel night's breeze reach out to kiss my skin; soft darkness is enticing me to peek behind the veils of unborn dreams within. His caring hands are strong-my feet, still weak. Beyond the rift laments a violin; it echoes on my heart-strings, I can't speak. Void's fulfilled emptiness invites me in, beside his velvet luster, bright seems bleak. As shrieking colours fade, I find soul's twin. ----- Sky’s grace As concrete rises, hiding Sun’s warm face, outside my room, his light grows slowly dimmer, never again I’ll see trees’ leafless lace, when winter’s grip calls forth Moons’ fading shimmer. Grey high rise has replaced Sky’s stunning grace. ----- Sky Ships White sky ships ride on rippling waves of blue, their full-blown sails are fat from wind's cool drive; my threaded dreams will fly with them to you. As kite-tails full of messages arrive, you will look up and know my love's alive. ----- Sky Ships II As seas of heaven turn to gray today, each of my sky-ships wears a heavy shroud; they flock together- none will drift astray while Aeolus' brute force attacks each cloud. They lean into his breath, their white heads proud. Above their crowded bodies waits the Sun, he tries to peep between the gaps now shown as finally god's anger gets undone. Sun's warming rays reach Aeolus' cold throne- my sky-ships are released, when storms atone. ----- Summer released As playful winds sweep up wide skirts of trees, shy Summer finally appears again. It has been weeks since she last dared the breeze, fat clouds’ held her imprisoned in dark chains- last night big storms contrived to set her free. When tempest broke her bonds with angry shouts, I’d feared that never more I’d feel her kiss. My heart is settling down, relieved of doubt, she holds me in the warm embrace I missed. Her golden face smiles down, on reaching out. ----- Threads of Light I'm weaving threads of light from heart to throat; each added strand shines brighter than the last till I'm enveloped by a sparkling coat. Uprooted weeds that once rose in my past, I'll put in light's clear stream- I watch strings float. These filaments of woe will wither soon- immersed in cleansing light they'll turn to gold; they'll be like night's clear stars, on velvet strewn, reflecting jewels of light, my eyes behold- the stillness of my lake mirrors the moon. ----- Words Like soothing waves your words flow in my ears; in gentle song, composed to thrill my soul, they flood my inner core, dilute salt tears. Vibrations' rhythms comfort and console, till crystalled pain retreats and disappears. The void is filled with harmony's delight, as music finds each hollow to complete. Sweet poetry is tempting to invite, her lure is strong as chocolate- and as sweet. Your words dare me to follow poet's write. ----- Yoga XVI Deep in my belly sleeps a perfect snake, in centered balance I can feel his weight, with pranayăma he is called awake; its slow arising in my spine pulls straight- adjusting muscles lose their knotted ache. back to list |
Peggy NelsonA bundle of joy has arrived today Extending the love of husband and wife A precious baby girl to love each day bringing happiness throughout their lives Many open arms to embrace, Jessica Marie in a loving way ----- Evil Verse Love Two bodies shall conspire surprises Evil grows near being more tributary The wings of inspiration shall arise And in time peace and sovereignty Love spreads and shall recover our life’s. ----- Kiss Me Kiss me carefully for you will know full well Your kisses frilled and added fuel to my fire When love kisses have filled our loving spell Know our kisses though our life will not expire Kiss me once more; before more sleep dreams tell ----- Life’s Taken A Toll Fighting back and silencing turmoil from you Blue candles flicker throughout each room Once keen on love, now forgotten and blue Outside my realm world’s horrors consumed Inside I’m crazed and criticized by you ----- Someday Stunning dreams of love and play Dreams of unshakable love Play and dance though out the day A powerful envision sent from above A belief to beguile someday ----- Someone Someone special was standing in the shadow of darkest dreams Where sorrows and storms sculptured his depressing utterance Until he found her; her eyes spoke of mystical sky-scraping esteem His life swells and songs now sung, as she had made a difference The twosome steals special moments of sensually satisfied themes ----- Sometimes Sometimes everyone searches the skies above, the land below for that special shinning star or someone on shore that holds no bars We fall in love as time passes; yes, yes we utter we do want more And when scribbling on about surprising stars and shores afar Sometimes we finally met the star we’ve been searching for ----- Time Changes At times we have all walked the valley of doubt Hurling and swirling like leaves, in autumn with no hope Time changed and destiny prevailed, giving insightful clout Tranquility willing stimulated and gave courage to cope Escaping again to face again and conquer times layout back to list |
Nicola WynterOn swallows wing answers are found in space, For freedom there is yours for the taking, As you watch wondrous worlds open with grace Like petals unfolding to suns waking First rays, berry stained clouds framing its face. Yellow swallowtail flight conspires our ends, Drifting lazily above earth, such delight From dreams captured there, amongst trees do wend, spiraling upwards, clouds reflect all light, Where spirits wait and friends may ascend. ----- Don't Look Back Come in from the cold winters night chill, Lay by the fires light, for there time stops, Forget the desert days, quench your thirst till You find two heart light's have come to the top Of the pinnacle of loves truest will. Don't look back to the past, it is dead cold, Look forward into the glimmer of dreams For they warm us in our present days hold, Take us to forevers time where we seem Not to mind the swirling winds that dreams unfold. ----- In Time In time, new light of destiny will come To shine in fresh meadows of future days, A Spring leaf greening in Autumn's season, Out of rhyme, eventualities ray, One day will appear and bring peace to some. back to list |
Leny & RyterHold me tight in Time’s embrace- love’s bouquet bewitches, heady perfumes’ peaks rise steeply; feast upon my juicy flesh, love’s buffet is offering tasty dishes- kiss me deeply, drink my breath and eat my lips- we’re Time’s prey. Savour the time offered speeding by so fast Each touch a delicious minute of life spent And treat each second as if it were our last Who knows time may change and re-invent And even slow itself to enjoy a lustful feast. ----- Zeberucht...(Eternal Flame) Tonight as the music plays I remember Later I will sleep and perhaps dream Thinking about what lit this fiery ember That heats my soul to hot extremes I wonder tonight if you will remember Phoenix rising As flames of memories crowd in night’s dreams, their faded ghosts keep walking in my mind. Soft, haunting voices echo long past screams, in imprints that old thrills have left behind. From glowing ashes rises Phoenix’ gleams. back to list |
Ryter & TrewirLike a candle our love burned too bright In our passion, we tasted too well, too soon Senses never sated until far into the night. Lust’s fires extinguished, by loss of gloom With day, love sped away, into the light. Whisked away into another candle light Till webs weaved depleted their love in June Time flashed forward and back to brighter sight Together again, love is dancing a powerful tune, In the romantically close netted; timeless might back to list |
