#9a Cavatina Chain

What has been proposed here is a poetry chain of the basic Cavatinas. The last line of the previous poem becomes the first line of the next poem. There is no set theme and the first poem's theme can change several times, in every octave if needs be.

Cavatina Chain

When soft voices die or just fade away
Then where are we?
I want to know, am I a prisoner
Or am I free?
Silence once was so golden now its lead
Please answer me!
Tell me how I may make our love endure,
How can love once so rich become so poor?
Ryter Roethicle
How can love once so rich become so poor,
you want to know?
there can be several reasons for when love
just cannot grow.
Time might be wrong, or maybe it can't breathe,
then fades its glow.
If love is like a tree, it reaches high,
when it's still a seed, it might grow awry.
Leny Roovers
When it's still a seed, it might grow awry
That is a fact
Like anything not nurtured, wilts and dies,
Purely from lack,
But tend it well and watch grow and bloom
It's roots intact
Love is the best gift we can give or get
That is one thing we should never forget.
Maryse Achong
That is one thing we should never forget
A simple word
Still a word that lingers through times of old
Let love be heard
Everyone needs love from rich to the poor
Watch hate be cured
Soft moments of loving words will suffice
More wants, more needs are met with loving vice
Peggy Nelson
More wants, more needs are met with loving vice
On moonlit nights
And gentle touches that say "I care for you"
Become delights
Soft smiling looks say much more than words
bright shining lights
From loving eyes, the window to your soul,
Knowing words from them can make me feel whole.
Ryter Roethical
Knowing words from them can make me feel whole,
I search your eyes
and see reflected there the love we share,
our greatest prize.
it's growing freely, from our deepest self,
as souls arise.
Together we are stronger than alone,
for our past mistakes, we now atone.
Leny Roovers
For our past mistakes, we now atone.
The only way
To go forward bravely, from strength to strength
With each new day;
To stay true to the promises we make,
The things we say;
Love based on trust is wondrous to behold,
When trust is gone the greatest love grows cold
Maryse Achong
When trust is gone the greatest love grows cold
Time to stroll on
Recovering from loathsome disarray
Feeling withdrawn
Knowing with time a caring soul will come
And past be gone
At times, time seems wasted yet remember,
Fresh start arrives setting passions ember
Peggy Nelson
Fresh start arrives setting passions ember
A new bright flame
Then with time refuelled with kiss and touch
This isn't a game
And instead the fire is banked up well
To all's acclaim
Old ash removed, new coals added each day
To maintain good heat it's the only way.
Ryter Roethicle
To maintain good heat it's the only way
To keep hearts near
Fanning the flames with promises and deeds
Done to make dear
Keeping such love above all, no others,
No such fears
Can ever take this away, to maintain
Hold fast the steel forging loves true chain.
Nia Winter
Hold fast the steel forging love's true chain,
well temper it,
more flexible and strong it thus will grow
and it won't split.
As heat and cold prepares love's steel to last,
we must not quit.
Hephaestus hammers at each weakness left,
until love shines- we'll no more feel bereft.
Leny Roovers
Now that love shines, we'll no more feel bereft
We will be whole.
Each night we'll walk along the beach together
A happy stroll
As we watch the sunset, anticipate the
Moon play her roll
I will be Hephaestus, my Cabeiro
Hypnos will bless our sleep and love will grow
Ryter Roethicle
Hypnos will bless our sleep so love will grow
Each happy night,
And Morpheus will add his song as well
'Til morning light;
And we will cherish ever single day
This love so right:
United in our love we're standing tall
Love beckoned us and we answered its call.
Maryse Achong
Love beckoned us and we answered its call.
Without regrets
we took her outstretched hand to play awhile.
We've paid our debts
for promises not kept and joys forsaken-
accepted bets.
To live and learn, is what life's all about-
Seeds we are now sowing, will one day sprout.
Leny Roovers
Seeds we are now sowing, will one day sprout
Bliss soon be known.
Don't interfere with what little pleasures
That grow atone
Brightening the desires shared in spurts
Reasons to hone
Ensuing buds enjoyable forte
As love lights the path and life becomes short
Peggy Nelson
As love lights the path and life becomes short
The path well lit
Guides us well towards our eternity
We will make it
Hand in hand there will be no further trials
That we permit.
The challenge is over and we are through
And my friends and I wish you all adieu.
Ryter Roethicle
