Come my love and hold my hand Take me back to our wonderland We again shall share our dream Our love again we shall redeem Softly rhythmic heartbeats sing Love doth conquer everything. ![]() ----- Awakened Spirits I recall the days when we were together The love and fun that we had then forever Life was carefree and everything was fine When I was once yours and you were mine; We both had known we would meet again Never knew where and never knew when. Was this history back then or just fable Sea god Poseidon, warned of this fear That mortality was soon to be unstable; So many claims that tongues had woven Nothing of which had ever been proven Some say massive Volcano`s exploded Atlantis was lost to the depth of the sea; Others spoke of cliffs that corroded Unto this day it still remains a mystery. Why must it be when love was so strong Whatever happens when things go wrong In a heated moment of heartfelt words To extinguish romance was so absurd Love had shown passion within the eye But deep inside stormy rain clouds cry. The seasons of nature did come and go And oceans with tides that ebb and flow A sun that gave warmth shining bright Moons that lightened the darkest night A voice had carried as the hurricane blew God forgive they know not what they do. Humans who thought they did their best But now they have gone and laid to rest With nothing left of the safe ozone layer Our World just a desert barren and bare A voice carried as the hurricane blew God forgive they know not what they do. May we try another planet and start again? Correcting our mistakes that we made then Can we make better rules is it not too late? For a new World with a much better fate. A voice carried as the hurricane blew God forgive they know not what they do. ![]() ----- Woodland Lovers Oh ye fair spirits of woodland sage Who writ an oath on an age old page And hath pledged her promises of love Unto a knight of the kings realm above Enclosed in sweet fantasy of the night They sampled the joys of loves delight . Until the dawns crystal dew drops dance Both within their spiritual mystical trance How sweetly this love that hath bestow`n For inner passions hath both been shown Enclosed in sweet fantasy of the night They sampled the joys of loves delight. Now this bond of love they hath sealed For love sweet love hath now revealed Was never illusions nor dreams of lust Together they knew that love they must Enclosed in sweet fantasy of the night They sampled the joys of loves delight. ![]() back to list |
Jem FarmerThe blindness of illusion sees beyond Old thoughts of which a sultry heart seems fond A wisdom unwilling to grow or learn Emotional discord begins to burn Black ashes fall like the discarded rain Remnants of love can never heal the pain. A fallen angel left to die alone, With no solace found in the world of stone, Echoes of the past breaking the lost soul, It's only in death that it will come whole, For life is a familiar winding lane And remnants of love cannot heal the pain. Yet letting go of all the salty tears, Releasing the heart from destiny’s fears, The willing heart can meet another date, On the journey that leads us all to fate, And clarity of truth stands to remain In remnants of love that never heal pain. ![]() ----- Gods Would Stop His amber eyes recall the jungle ways, The silent spirit call from distant days, Those ancient echoes that now touch his soul, Before Man came to tame the wild carole, When the world moved to a different law And gods would stop to hear the tiger's roar. His honeyed stripes an echo of his pains, Of chasing his prey across Savannah plains, Now he chases shelter that Man denied In endless cravings for a thrilling ride Still the cat remembers what was before And gods would stop to hear the tiger's roar. His stretching paws are seeking comfort deep As he lays himself down for gentle sleep He longs for wiser days no longer found The days when all the world was hallowed ground, And I wonder how, when as we ignore The gods shall stop to hear the tiger's roar. ![]() ----- Poets Play Those gentle words that speak of loving grace Where e'er I gaze upon her moonlit face The sacred love that longs to comfort me, Within the shadows of a dream I see That home is where the heart is, so they say, And love divine is where the poets play. And as I pray in lunar light, I long To hear the melody of magic's song; Oh mysteries in holy words of love, Impart my soul to know the truth thereof, That home is where the heart is, so they say, And love divine is where the poets play. ![]() ----- Seedlings of Thought The briefest thought that planted in my mind Was only heard when I was left behind, The shadowed walls of prejudicial hate Where I was made to suffer while-u-wait; Yet still I could feel echoes from above They were telling me to believe in love. In another time in a distant place, I'd dance with sublime elegance and grace To rhythm chanted by passioned romance Oh how my feet would long to join the dance Amid the stars and all the light thereof I wanted to believe that there is love. I sought the chance to be me, to be free I looked throughout the world but couldn’t see, The light that guides is not found here or there, Until the heart can see and be aware The truth within the soul that speaks thereof Believe or not it is the path to love. Now when I look upon the universe Without old fears or whispering a curse, I know I'll dance in my own unique way For love has found a place in me to play, From briefest thought I long ago dreamed of I found my heart believed in precious love. ![]() ----- Solid Oak Its roots spread deep into the ground As stretching branches reach for the sun Yet it stands still for centuries Watching how the world has gone Without a word or wanton sigh. But as I lean against the solid oak I feel an echo far below As light trickles softly through the leaves I hear the voice, deep and wise, surmise All life is of the Earth ![]() ----- Unpaid Dues Each night I look upon the moon with hope, Before I scuttle down life's endless slope, I beg the will to live another day, To touch the dream of love another way, But as I look towards the night-time sky The rain absorbs the tears I'm left to cry. If only I could breathe the air again, Each breath ignites the raging flames of pain Yet dares my heart to stand and proudly fight So that my soul may know the way of light, But as I look towards the night-time sky The rain absorbs the tears I'm left to cry. Yet now I yield to empty hands of fate, My heart is lost; forever came too late, The price of death again remains unpaid, And still I breathe, unclaimed by reaper’s blade, But as I look towards the night-time sky The rain absorbs the tears I'm left to cry. ![]() back to list |
Ryter RoethicleEating Out In Singapore I am alone and in the security of darkness Savouring the coolness, the peace the freedom from mess. I have no qualms about people's civilised life But for civilised one should sometimes read strife. It’s time now for me to eat a good meal and a cold beer I know just where to go and what have, have no fear. I am no longer within the security of darkness The food is good and just my taste I have to fess. The Chinese music is pleasant helping me keep my mood One more line, one more spoon, this is bloody good. The Tiger beer just helps me fill the spot I'm starting to acclimatise now, its not so bloody hot. Because I am no longer in the security of darkness, I have a serious problem, I must confess. I need to blow my nose, in public it's considered rude To pull out a hanky and blow would make me look crude So I must sniff and pull it back within But in the privacy of my room I'm definitely going to sin. ----- Heavy Rain Listen to the rain crashing into the roof Pounding remorselessly behaving so aloof The thunder joins in adding to the din Even worse sounding through a roof tin. Drumming of water running down the drain Not for such a long time have I seen such rain. The heavy rain has ceased, gentle rain now falls The sky no longer sombre to the Earth now calls And thirsty plants still ease their thirst The heavy rain thankfully have helped the worst. Now there's gentle water flowing in the drains Not for such a long time have I seen such rain. ----- July Afternoon in Singapore The wind that blows here is much to hot It kills the active spirit and all thoughts got. Then when walking back, I feel the rain To help rebuild my spirits once again. There is no offence, no need for fear, It's always the same here this time of year. The alternative is to breathe cold recycled air, But why should I have to? It isn't fair! I go out again and sweat, my clothes stick to me I need my walking shorts so my legs are free. One time I'll remember to pack them, have no fear When I remember what's like here this time of year. Next Aussie Autumn I won't hide them away Ready and available is what they'll say. Then when my need for them is most I'll have my hat and them on so I won't roast I'll make sure of my hat to protect face and ears 'Cause it's always the same here this time of year. ----- On Being in the Woods I will walk slowly through the wood In here I feel the peace I knew I would. There is no anguish only a feeling sublime The trees created through endless time. Feeling the stresses of the day melt away And my inner self bids me to stay. There is no peace within a buildings walls And only confusion within the hotels halls. The piped music drives away sane thoughts With inspiration gone I'm left with naught. Common sense tells me, it's time to run away It's stupid really for me to stay. A sup of wine, and a loaf of bread Isn't that what Omar Khayyam said? To sup, and eat beneath a bough It was true then and tis surely true now Feeling the stresses of the day melt away And my inner self that bids me stay. Here I'm free to write and free to feel Realising life within these trees is real. I feel their peace surging over me Now realising this is what's meant to be No more stresses, no more debt left to pay I've now decided it's here I'll stay. ----- Ultimate It is the final day, and I've waited for too long The radio is playing for me, - a romantic song, Setting the mood for what will be an impatient day, We've waited too long, it's time we had our way. Love will win the day once I see her face And I can feel her in my loving embrace. If the train is late, I'll buy another coffee and wait I've been too long now waiting for my soulmate. She phoned to tell me she was on her way But it's a long journey that could take half a day. Then I see my lady walking with her case Walking, towards me anticipating my embrace. ----- Values As I eat my lunch I'm watching the local birds Paddling in the puddles of sunlight in the yard. The ample shelter of the trees cast long shadows That shapes the place like a series of furrows Of light and dark green, light and dark paving I watch and eat and satiate hungers craving. I'm sitting now watching my students do a test It's been a hectic time and I'm ready for a rest. The crowd this week are more than friendly enough There's a need to hear English, that makes it tough. Too much broken language and arms a waving To hear English spoken is really what I’m craving. This eve I'll sit outside with a bottle of wine, My laptop will play music, and then all will be fine. I'll watch the sun set over those ancient trees Then when set I'll feel the evening breeze, And perhaps then I'll realise what I'm saving, All the time and peace that will ease my craving. #2 There is still a touch of heat in the night As the setting sun continues to shed its light. A strange bird calls out its unfamiliar song I am new, and its family has been here so long. It calls out as if to say; "There's a stranger here". If only it would understand, there's naught to fear. Even though a semi-stranger to this part of Earth I will still respect and love its land of birth. The greenness around tells me they wish to breathe And therefore gives me no urgent call to leave. I can understand that all this has cost avians dear, If only they understand from me there's naught to fear. ----- Nature - Collins Sequence #1 All life and more is in Natures plan The least of which should humble man And grows and forms and adapts to strife This is the challenge Nature puts on life. Across the ages life has made a chart At survival each life has made an art Each plant mutates and has adapted so It lies dormant in sand, it sleeps in snow Every year with the start of Natures round On looking about a new shoot are found Now is the time as the young shoots dart. At survival each life has made an art After desert rains see life grow again. With the help of the sun and the rain At last new life will emerge and grow In the worst conditions life will show With every chance new life will start At survival each life has made an art #2 Life blossoms forth its symbolic scenes Attracting to procreate and pass on its genes It is reliant on symbiosis for the key And it needs the help of the worker bee Or other creature that pass on the seed To help fertilise each plant and weed. And as the seasons wax and wane One years lost is another's gain Nature always balances out with time So that nothing can out climb As other creatures help pass on the seed They help fertilise each plant and weed. All things are equal in this natural state All know their place as does their mate Every year as each beast conceives Each plant pushes forth new leaves Creatures have helped pass on the seeds Helping to fertilise the plants and weeds. < #3 All know their place and their fate Living out of harmony within their state Should one species become too strong, Nature levels it out before too long. Natures balance is without deceit Then along comes man in all his conceit. Who often forgets that it is not his plan. Always thinking naught is better than man Ignoring that he's only an alternate form. Not just like every other creature born Upsetting the balance with his deceit All part of man and his conceit. Because of man, every day a species dies And all we hear are corporate lies Science and technology only deceives. Ask the ancients what the tribe believes. Those ancients live and are without deceit And are ashamed of man and his conceit. #4 The world from space how lush and green But down here the destruction is obscene. What man has done in the name of gain Really means civilization has gone insane. Destroying forests to build new towns Acting like a bunch of painted clowns. The cars and trucks we drive pollute the air But we carry on regardless without a care One day soon we will be asked to pay Faced with the truth what will we say? First denying using men in caps and gowns But academics are not painted clowns. They say it's not to late to change our way But for what we take, we also have to pay. And must live with Nature, and learn the art So that with every chance new life will start. Stop denying the truth, throw the gauntlet down And depose each and every painted clown. back to list |
Divena and RyterWhat when you kiss me do I feel like within Why my heart flutters tho`they say its a sin When I only know the deepness of your love Shown in your eyes with gentleness thereof; When killing me softly with your love song How in this world could our love go wrong In spirit form we were made for each other Through out the ages we have been lovers To reveal much tenderness we both endow A togetherness we cherished then and now; When killing me softly with your love song How in this world could our love go wrong To be so apart love grows stronger each day It is then we know it is true what they say To yearn for the moment when we together Shall be lovers once more now and forever; When killing me softly with your love song How in this world could our love go wrong ----- First Time Once in the silence of the night I dreamed And in that dream I saw your face it seemed For the first time I saw it, yet I wonder now Had I seen you before, somewhere, somehow? It must have been a truly heavenly place, I fell in love, the first time I saw your face. Desires and passions became once more alive My needs and longings awoke and revived, And now you have become part of my reality, Each day feeling the need once more to see You must have come from a heavenly place, I fell in love, the first time I saw your face. Somewhere in time, a kiss became lost, I have found it and no matter what the cost It will be returned because it belongs to you And it will be my pleasure to see it through. Kissing you makes anywhere a heavenly place, I fell in love, the first time I saw your face. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Knh9pV4EB3k back to list |
