Merchant Sailors....Choi's Sonnet What wares do ye bring back from the sea From far foreign countries of an exotic land And what tales of adventure speaketh thee Of treasures found buried deep in the sand A wilderness of natives that got out of hand Pray tell in a tongue we may all understand What of sharp spears they made to defend What trinkets did thy trade them to befriend Were they of burnished gold or just pretend Questions need answers to feedeth the brain How else shall these ignorances comprehend If they had not endured their wildest terrain For experiences that merchant sailors gain Their adventures shared shall forever remain. |
