Aboriginal Remedies....Australian Sonnet They say life is like a bowl of cherries But cherries go rotten and make you sick The same shall happen of bramble berries Not a thing can make you unwell so quick That an apple a day keeps the doctor away Though this has never actually been proven Native remedies had practised the old way Which ancient folklore of tongues had woven Wealth within forests burned to the ground Of herbal properties that once worked best From eucalyptus trees that wealth caressed Where TeaTree powers were freely found Natives of the firelands properties known When natural remedies came into their own. |
