Tall and Proud....Canadian Sonnet

O woman cry out for your right to be,
Stand tall and proud; demand that things be changed,
The rights of women are not fair exchange
For all the wants that pious men decree.
We're not objects to sexually deface,
It is our right to say we don’t want to,
The way we dress should not deter the view
A woman is more than a pretty face.
And if we do a job of work all day,
In factories, office or cashier tills,
Remind the men we pay the same old bills
And deserve all the rights of equal pay.
O woman speak out before it's too late,
And politics of men dictate our fate.
