Lost Chances....Cornish Sonnet I While walking rough roads my feet sore and bare, And dreams were far beyond my outstretched hands, Within the realms where no angels will dare, You turned away each time I reached for you, You wanted bikinis and beachy sands, The wealth and glory all that mattered too. I found the truth everywhere that I walked With ev'ry step I felt my spirit grow And then I saw you smile, we sat and talked, At last, you planned to walk along with me, But darling there is something you must know, I don't need you to hold me now, you see. While walking rough roads my feet sore and bare, I found the truth everywhere that I walked. |
