Solitary Lover....Experimental Sonnet I see you lit by my lamp at twilight Looking at your form in the dusk. The light from your soul is bright Reflecting out from sparkling eyes. Your subtle scent is that of musk As softly, a night creature cries. My solitary dreams are of thee, and Thy lips in dreams sweeter than wine In shadows outlined deep I see The bitter taste of your absence. Make affirmations that you are mine Louder by the present silence. I see you lit by my lamp at twilight My solitary dreams are of thee. |
