Nineteen....Mirror Sonnet How did the time fly when twelve was so high That twenty seemed like an ancient mermaid? But mermaids never age so it is said And tetween times only count egg timer sighs, Unlike the soul that stopped, only growing shy. Counter clockwise ran her thoughts instead The aha! moments merely drew out and bled Upon page after page after page after page of whys. Finally the body knows yet cannot speak Screaming it's joys an dpains in Greek. Upon page after page after page after page of whys, The aha! moemnts merely drawn out and bled Counter clockwise ran upon her thoughts instead Unlike the soul that stopped, only growing shy And between times only count as egg timer sighs. But mermaids never age so it is said That twenty seemed like an ancient mermaid How did the time fly when twelve was so high? |
