Madame Mee Tu The cat with whom I share a house. An autocratic Siamese would never deign to kill a mouse. My dear they harbour such disease She likes her chicken lightly poached a lemon sole's acceptable. She does not like to be approached she finds it reprehensible When she wants fussed she comes to me demands I stroke her as of right but still she purrs in sheer delight. As I soft scratch beneath her chin she purrs like a well tuned engine My Siamese conceals a grin. |
